Position: Data Entry Operator and Application Support
Location: India ( Office-based depending on NGO's operations)
Department: Information Technology
Reports to: Health Program Manager / IT Manager

Preffered: Male Candidates

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Entry Operator and Application Support professional to assist in the smooth operation and support of our Preventive Health Check-up Application. This application is a crucial tool used by our NGO to track health data, manage patient records, and facilitate preventive healthcare measures for underserved populations in India. The role involves managing data entry, ensuring the accuracy of health-related information, and providing technical assistance to users of the application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry and Management:
  • Enter health check-up data, patient details, and medical information accurately into the Preventive Health Check-up Application.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updating of health records in the system.
  • Verify and validate the data entered to ensure consistency and correctness.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive health information in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits of data entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Application Support:
  • Provide technical support to end-users (health workers, doctors, and other field staff) using the application.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to the application (e.g., login problems, data entry errors, etc.).
  • Assist in resolving application bugs, glitches, or malfunctions by liaising with the IT team or external vendors.
  • Help with the installation, configuration, and upgrading of the application software.
  • Monitor and report any system downtimes or issues to the technical support team and ensure swift resolution.
  • Training and Assistance:
  • Conduct training sessions for new users (health workers, program staff) on how to use the preventive health check-up application effectively.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to users through phone, email, or in-person when necessary.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Generate and maintain regular reports from the system, highlighting key metrics and insights related to health check-ups, patient visits, and outcomes.
  • Assist in data analysis and preparation of reports for internal teams, donors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all records are well-organized, updated, and accessible for future reference.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with field teams, doctors, and healthcare providers to ensure that accurate data is being collected and entered into the application.
  • Communicate with other departments (like IT, health programs, etc.) to resolve any operational or data-related issues.
  • Ensure smooth workflow between data entry, application updates, and health program teams.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably in Health Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related discipline.
  • Training in health data management or similar fields is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Data Entry Operator, IT Support, or Application Support professional.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare or NGO sector, especially in preventive health programs, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with health data management software or applications is an advantage.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with application support, troubleshooting, and user training.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in resolving basic application or data-related issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good time-management and organizational skills.
