About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the development and maintenance of our end-to-end business intelligence and data engineering ecosystem. You will design and manage scalable data pipelines, build integrations, develop data models, and ensure a reliable data foundation for analytics and reporting.

This role requires close collaboration with product, engineering, and analytics teams to deliver a robust, high-performance data environment.

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Pipelines

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Develop scalable workflows for analytics, operational dashboards, and reporting.
• Optimize pipeline performance, reliability, and cost.

Data Modeling & Warehousing

• Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and data marts to support analytics teams.
• Build and manage data warehouses or data lakes on cloud platforms.
• Ensure models follow industry best practices and support self-service BI.

Integrations & APIs

• Create and maintain integrations with external systems, databases, and APIs.
• Manage data synchronization, error handling, and monitoring.
• Work with REST/GraphQL APIs for data ingestion and automation.

Data Quality, Governance & Security

• Build frameworks for data validation, quality checks, and anomaly detection.
• Maintain documentation, metadata, and governance standards.
• Implement data security, privacy, and compliance best practices.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with analysts and BI developers to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Support dashboard development and analytical projects.
• Troubleshoot data issues and optimize performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Fivetran, Stitch, etc.).
• Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, or similar languages.
• Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse).
• Comfort working with APIs, webhooks, and integration workflows.
• Understanding of data governance, quality, and security standards.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience supporting BI/analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with real-time data streaming (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub).
• Exposure to DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
• Background in analytics engineering or machine learning pipelines.
