This begins on Day One!A Data Centre Linux & HW Engineer at ADSIPL may be the primary point of contact for both internal customers (for example: Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers, Database Engineers, Technical Operations) and external customers (Hardware Vendors, Contractors, Service Providers among others).Key job responsibilities

Some Of The Key Responsibilities You Will Undertake Are

Problem Solving: Maintain a high level of system reliability by prioritizing and resolving trouble tickets efficiently, these include:Escalation point and technical troubleshooter for all Systems and Network hardware problemsDeep diving into Linux server issuesXEN service virtualization troubleshootingTechnical: Troubleshoot technical issues on various platforms ranging from Systems through Networking to Power/MechanicalRemediation of physical layer outages, both Systems & NetworkRemediation or recovery of physical power issues on racksParticipate in Data Center power & cooling eventsOperations: Meet 24x7 On-Call requirements and response during shift rotations.Install & configure racks of hosts in line with internal SLAsTriage & resolve trouble tickets for all devices in your regionData Center point of contact for all High Severity issuesPhysical replacement of server and network device partsEnsure correct rotation of parts & sparesHelp define metrics to increase our customer uptimeEnforcing Security Best Practices at ADSIPLInteract with third party vendors & contractorsContribute ideas to improve operational efficiency

Project Management

Participate in and deliver on a number of high impact small to mid-scale projectsParticipate in internal team meetings at ADSIPL for metric analysis and project status updatesHelp build the world’s largest Cloud infrastructure in IndiaMentoring: Share knowledge and help educate less technical staff on the best practices related to all service owner issuesHiring: Contribute towards building a great team by getting involved in the ADSIPL’s hiring process/candidate interviews

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
• 1+ years of computer networking experience
• Bachelor's degree
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
• 1+ years of data center experience
• Experience on Network Equipment Installation and Configuration
