We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to collect, process, and analyze diverse datasets to support strategic projects and insights. The role involves ensuring data quality, consistency, and relevance across multiple sources while collaborating closely with research, editorial, and project teams. You will transform raw data into actionable insights, develop visualizations, and document methodologies to maintain transparency and reproducibility. Ideal candidates are proactive problem-solvers with strong analytical and coding skills who can communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders. Accountabilities
- Collect, load, transform, and analyze datasets including economic, environmental, and survey data
- Design data structures and maintain a master data management system to support ranking or reporting projects
- Write code to transform and prepare data for analysis, visualization, and reporting outputs
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across geographies and sources
- Collaborate with research teams, project managers, and editorial teams to validate data and integrate qualitative insights
- Document data processes, methodologies, and technical workflows for transparency and reproducibility
- Support ad-hoc analyses and provide quantitative insights to guide decision-making
Requirements
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues
- Proficiency in SQL, preferably with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Coding experience in data science languages such as Python or R
- Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders clearly
- Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and visualization
- Demonstrated adaptability, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
