Data Analyst

Purpose/Objective

Analyze and interpret security data using statistical techniques to improve and maintain the quality and efficiency of the security systems across the site.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Roles and Responsibilities Data Management Data Collection: - Collect, analysis, and report data to ensure protection from potential threats - Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases Data Analysis: - Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality - Create appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary. Data Interpretation: - Interpret and research security data findings to make recommendations to the management. - Filter data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems - Demonstrate the significance of the data reports in the context of local, national, and global trends that impact the site security systems Threat & Vulnerability Assessment- Conduct security data assessments with regular vulnerability testing and threat analysis - Analyse security breaches to identify the root cause of vulnerabilities and threats - Ensure continuous update of the company’s incident response and disaster recovery plans Systems Upgradation- Analyse the data reports generated and identify areas of improvement in the computer networks - Execute the plan for system upgradation of the security software across the site Key Interactions Internal External- Collaborate with IT Management Specialist to ensure continuous services and avoid breakdowns due to IT changes. - Engage with external departments for services & integration. Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification: - Bachelor’s degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Maths, or Statistics - Knowledge of Database languages such as SQL, R, or Python - Knowledge of Data visualization software such as Tableau or Qlik Experiences: - More than 6 years of experience in data management operations in a reputed organisation. - Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Experience implementing latest technology tools, systems, and applications in Security operations - Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders – internal as well as external Preferable to have worked in an organization with diversified business
