Job Description : Business Development & Client Engagement: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Defence sector across MoD, Armed Forces, DPSUs, DRDO, and related agencies. Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in Defence establishments. Lead client engagement from pre-sales through to post-order execution and billing. Conduct regular follow-ups for order closures and payment realization. Key Account Management Bidding & Order Management: Monitor tenders, RFPs, and RFQs via portals such as eProcurement, GEM, and DPSU websites. Manage end-to-end bid process from coordination, documentation, pricing, to final submission. Lead techno-commercial discussions, compliance checks, and order finalization. Maintaining comprehensive and accurate bid documentation, including bid files, records of communication and pricing information. Market Intelligence & Strategic Growth: Conduct in-depth market research on Defence requirements, upcoming procurement trends, and competitor analysis. Identify strategic opportunities for technology tie-ups, localization efforts, and value proposition enhancement. Evaluate and onboard new partners, suppliers, or technology providers aligned with Defence needs. Facilitate MoUs and strategic collaborations with OEMs, foreign technology partners, and Indian manufacturing partners. Internal Coordination & Execution: Coordinate with internal teams including Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure timely responses and seamless project execution. Collaborate with Sales Support, Product Management, and Delivery teams for proposal preparation and execution milestones. Track and monitor order lifecycle – from acquisition to delivery, billing, and collection. Required Skills and Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in engineering ( Electrical/Mechanical / Electronics) , MBA in Marketing /Operations will be added advantage. Total Experience 7 to 10 years with Minimum 5 years of experience in Defence Business Development/Project Sales/Strategic Alliances. Sound knowledge of Defence procurement processes (DAP, DPP, GEM, RFPs, and offset policy). Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Proven experience in developing technology partnerships and executing MoUs/agreements. Team Leading experience will be preferred Ability to work independently and cross-functionally across business verticals. Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and tender submission tools/portals.
