The Finance and Project Management and Accounting Functional Consultant will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and optimising Finance, Project Management, and Accounting processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. The role requires strong functional knowledge, hands on project experience, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable financial and project management solutions for Velosio’s clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements related to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Management, Project Accounting, and Budgeting.
• Design and configure D365 FO modules including General Ledger, Budgeting, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Management and Accounting, and Cost Accounting.
• Lead workshops, requirement discussions, gap fit analysis, and solution design sessions with finance and project stakeholders.
• Prepare functional design documents (FDDs), configuration documents, test scripts, and training manuals.
• Support technical teams with integrations, customizations, and automation related to finance and project accounting.
• Participate in data migration activities such as chart of accounts mapping, financial dimensions, project master data, and validation.
• Conduct system testing, financial period close testing, UAT support, and assist with cutover activities.
• Provide post go live support for financial and project accounting operations.
• Ensure solutions follow Velosio best practices and Microsoft standards.
• Support pre sales with solution demos, scoping, effort estimation, and proposal preparation.

Required Skills

• 5 to 6 years of hands on experience as a Functional Consultant in D365 Finance and Operations (Finance and PMA).
• Strong understanding of financial processes including GL, AP, AR, FA, budgeting, financial reporting, and project accounting.
• Experience configuring project accounting features such as project contracts, Projects, Journals, Timesheets, WBS, cost control, forecasts, revenue recognition, and invoicing.
• Good understanding of financial dimensions, account structures, posting profiles, and project categories.
• Experience preparing FDDs, BRDs, test cases, and training documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams and manage client expectations effectively.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments in a dynamic and agile environment.

Preferred Certifications

Microsoft certifications in D365 Finance or Project Management and Accounting.
