Job Description

Cybersecurity Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement
security controls, tools, and monitoring systems
across cloud and on-prem environments.
Conduct
vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis
.
Monitor, investigate, and respond to
security incidents and breaches
.
Implement and maintain
firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, and encryption solutions
.
Work with DevOps/Engineering teams to integrate
security best practices (DevSecOps)
into CI/CD pipelines.
Develop and enforce
security policies, standards, and procedures
.
Ensure compliance with relevant
regulations and frameworks
(ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
Conduct
security awareness training
for employees and promote a security-first culture.
Research and recommend new tools, techniques, and strategies for
proactive threat defense
.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in
Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field
.
3–8 years of hands-on experience in
cybersecurity engineering or related roles
.
Strong knowledge of
network security, system hardening, and secure architecture design
.
Experience with
SIEM tools
(Splunk, ELK, QRadar, etc.) and
EDR solutions
.
Proficiency in
firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management tools
.
Solid understanding of
cloud security (AWS/GCP/Azure)
.
Strong scripting/programming skills in
Python, Bash, or PowerShell
.
Familiarity with
incident response, forensics, and threat modeling
.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Certifications such as
CISSP, CEH, OSCP, CISM, CCSP, or CompTIA Security+
.
Knowledge of
zero trust architecture, microsegmentation, and advanced threat hunting
.
Experience with
container security (Kubernetes, Docker)
.
Exposure to
red team/blue team exercises
.
