Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and monitor security measures to protect systems, networks, and data.
• Analyze security incidents and recommend appropriate mitigation actions.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation to address security gaps.
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious behavior and respond to security incidents.
• Configure and manage intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, and other security tools.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure deployment of applications and systems.
• Stay up to date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
• Assist in compliance efforts related to industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related role.
• Practical knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and endpoint security.
• Experience securing legacy systems and addressing vulnerabilities in operational technology (OT).
• Proficiency with network protocols, authentication systems, and encryption practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure and Oracle) and their security frameworks.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English.
• Experience with Dev Sec Ops practices and secure SDLC.
• Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
