Job Summary
The Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) Functional Consultant Shared Services will be responsible for providing comprehensive support, enhancement, and continuous improvement of all functional areas of A&E Lanka’s JDE ERP system, including Finance, Customer Service, Planning, Operations, and Warehouse Management. This role will act as the key liaison between A&E Lanka, Global IT, and external partners, ensuring business stability, process optimization, and alignment with global JDE strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. JDE Application Support
• Provide end-to-end support across all JDE functional modules (Finance, Customer Service, Planning, Operations, Warehouse).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex ERP-related issues to maintain smooth business operations.
• Collaborate with global shared service teams and implementation partners for advanced issue resolution and system enhancements.
• Ensure all JDE functionalities meet business and compliance requirements.
2. System Optimization and Continuous Improvement
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and standardization within JDE.
• Recommend and implement best practices for data accuracy, system utilization, and performance improvement.
• Participate in configuration reviews, testing, and rollout of new functionalities or updates.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and future JDE enhancements driven by global IT.
3. Business Process Integration
• Work closely with Finance, Operations, Planning, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to ensure cross-functional alignment.
• Facilitate seamless data flow and process integration across modules, ensuring accurate financial and operational reporting.
• Support master data management and validation processes to minimize user errors.
4. User Support, Training, and Documentation
• Provide user training and knowledge transfer sessions to empower business teams on JDE functionalities.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including SOPs, configuration notes, and user manuals.
• Conduct refresher training sessions and workshops as needed to sustain user competency.
5. Reporting and Compliance
• Support in developing, maintaining, and validating JDE-based reports and dashboards for management and audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and financial regulations.
• Provide data and system access support during audit or compliance reviews.
6. Collaboration and Communication • Serve as the single point of contact between A&E Lanka and the Global JDE Shared Service team. • Participate in cross-functional and global coordination meetings for issue tracking, prioritization, and project updates. • Communicate system changes, planned outages, or enhancements proactively to stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne implementation and support across multiple functional areas.
• Strong understanding of Finance (GL, AP, AR), Sales & Customer Service, Planning, Manufacturing, and Warehouse modules.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting, business process improvement, and ERP optimization.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• JD Edwards certifications (functional or technical) will be an advantage.

• Deep functional knowledge of JDE ERP processes across Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and regions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders effectively.
• Solid documentation, testing, and user training capabilities.
• Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
