Credit Manager

As a Credit Assessment and Underwriting Specialist at Godrej Capital, a subsidiary of Godrej Industries, you will be responsible for evaluating mortgage loan applications in alignment with product and policy guidelines. Your role will encompass the comprehensive process from application submission to loan disbursal. Ensuring the creditworthiness of loan applicants, adherence to KYC regulations, credit bureau evaluations, and financial analysis will be key aspects of your responsibilities. Your duties will involve the thorough disbursal of Mortgage Loans, encompassing all necessary verification processes. Collaborating with legal, technical, and processing vendors will be essential, including providing training to vendors and their staff on relevant procedures and policies. Conducting in-person meetings with clients to discuss loan applications and requirements will also be part of your role. Maintaining the processing Turnaround Time (TAT) and participating in both internal and external audits are critical components of this position. Effective vendor management, including quality monitoring, will be within your purview to ensure operational excellence. To qualify for this role, you should possess 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, with a mandatory MBA in Finance or CA qualification. A strong background in mortgage underwriting, particularly in subjective underwriting phases, within the same geographical region as the role is preferred. Additionally, having basic financial knowledge of Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and financial ratios is beneficial. Key skills required for this position include the ability to thrive in unstructured and dynamic environments, maintaining expected TAT standards while upholding quality benchmarks. Collaboration with Sales and Operations teams to achieve strategic business objectives is essential. Your responsiveness to customer needs and adeptness in leveraging technological tools within the mortgage industry will be crucial for success in this role.,
