Role Overview

Creative Lead Writer / Creative Head (Indian Writer for the US Market)

Romance Drama (Contemporary Romance, Historical, Romantic Suspense etc.) or Romantasy (Werewolves, Vampires, Dark-Academia etc.)

What You'll Be Doing:

• An exciting opportunity to build an entire portfolio of Romantasy, ensuring the best in class shows are selected to represent popular tropes and themes
• Hiring and nurturing talent that can spearhead and drive this vertical. Training and cascading best practices within the team
• Guiding the teams to launch high quality shows, resonant with US audiences, with high retention by planning the life of the show, breaking it down into tacticals with the Creative Leads
• Maintain a high-volume editorial pipeline keeping an eye on throughput with planning checks and balances
• While the magic touch is the writers, should be able to learn and cascade the use of AI powered tools to elevate quantity and quality of output

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: 10+ years in fiction/editorial, with 5+ years specifically in a team lead role.
• In love with Romance, and in tune with Drama!. What makes a great romance tick and last with audiences.
• Expert understanding of US cultural context
• Superior editorial instincts, and ability to conduct writer rooms- you should know what makes a story work in a long format, and plan, execute this seamlessly
• Strong preference for experience adapting long-form narrative(Web novels, Self-published books, Comics) into serialized drama,
• Working with tech enabled tools should excite you!
