To optimize costs and support company scaling by creating a robust legal structure. This role involves providing comprehensive legal support across various functions, ensuring legal compliance, and mitigating risks while managing all legal documentation and advising the company on day-to-day matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and amending documents to protect company interests and mitigate risks.
- Create and review offer letters, employment agreements, contracts, and internal policies (Code of Conduct, Termination Procedures).
- Keep updated with changes in labour laws, ensuring compliance by amending documents accordingly.
- Prepare legal instructions, notices, and internal memos as needed.
- Represent the company in local authorities and regulatory bodies, as required.
- Draft and amend legal documents for Vesama products, including terms and conditions, customer protection policies, and related documentation.
- Provide legal advice to colleagues on customer-related issues and claims.
- Review and respond to customer claims in compliance with company policies.
- Draft, amend, and review terms and conditions, notices, and consents to comply with data protection laws.
- Develop and maintain internal registries, instructions, and policies related to data protection.
Commercial & Daily Business:
- Advise teams (marketing, sales, product launch) on legal matters, ensuring business practices comply with legal frameworks.
- Draft and review partnership contracts, rental agreements, and other commercial agreements.
Corporate Documents & M&A Support:
- Assist in corporate governance matters, including drafting resolutions and consents in relation to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and investor protection.
- Amend and update statutory documents in the registrar and other regulatory bodies in compliance with current laws.
- Keep the company informed about any changes in laws, regulations, or compliance requirements.
- Report on any legal violations or ongoing legal issues within the company, providing timely alerts and necessary follow-ups.
- 3+ years of experience in legal practice, preferably in Labour Law, Customer Protection, Personal Data Protection, Commercial Law, or Corporate Governance.
- Strong knowledge of legal documents and drafting skills.
- Familiarity with local regulations and the ability to amend documents based on state-specific requirements.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing company and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Personal Data Protection regulations (GDPR, etc.) and how they impact business practices.
Desired Experience:
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, especially in marketing, sales, and product development.
- Experience in M&A and corporate restructuring is a plus.
