Job Description

Role Overview: As an Event Manager, your role involves conducting short- and long-term planning and management for events and sales. You will be responsible for developing and recommending budgets, marketing plans, and objectives while managing within approved plans. Your focus will be on maintaining or exceeding budgeted sales and profits in all event areas. Additionally, you will recommend, develop, and implement effective marketing plans to generate event revenues. Your evaluation of each piece of event business will ensure proper servicing. You will also be tasked with assembling creative and innovative event attractions based on internal capabilities or outsourcing to qualified vendors. Training, supervising, and working with event staff to solicit and book banquet and catering functions will be part of your responsibilities. Your leadership in building long-term, value-based customer relationships will enable the achievement of sales objectives. Furthermore, you will administer all phases of the event department, including sales, planning, marketing, servicing, and administrative procedures. Coaching and counseling employees to reflect company service standards and procedures will also be essential.
