We are seeking a passionate and skilled Continental Chef to lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing a wide range of Continental dishes, a strong understanding of kitchen management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that caters to both dine-in customers and delivery orders. This role requires creativity, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene. Key Responsibilities: Menu Development & Execution:Develop, refine, and innovate a diverse menu of Continental dishes (e.g., pastas, risottos, sandwiches, salads, grills, pastries, European breakfast items) that appeal to our target audience. Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of all menu items to the highest culinary standards. Introduce seasonal specials and new dishes to keep the menu fresh and exciting. Kitchen Operations & Management:Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and dispatch for both walk-in and cloud kitchen orders. Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively to minimize waste. Implement and maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP principles preferred). Ensure efficient workflow and organization within the kitchen, optimizing for both speed and quality. Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Cloud Kitchen & Walk-in Synergy:Efficiently manage simultaneous order flows from walk-in customers and online delivery platforms. Develop strategies to optimize cooking times and packaging for delivery while maintaining presentation and quality for dine-in. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service for all customers. Quality Control & Customer Satisfaction:Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and prepared dishes. Address any food-related customer feedback promptly and professionally. Continuously strive to enhance the overall dining experience for our guests. Qualifications: Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Continental Chef or a similar role in a reputable cafe, restaurant, or hotel. In-depth knowledge of Continental cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles. Experience with cloud kitchen operations and managing high-volume takeaway orders is a significant advantage. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
