About the Role

E-commerce Content Writer

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Content Creation

  • Write clear, engaging, and persuasive product descriptions, titles, and bullet points for website and marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, etc.).
  • Create SEO-optimised copy including keywords, meta tags, and alt text.
  • Ensure accuracy of product specs, pricing, and benefits.
  • Write and adapt product content in Arabic when required.

2. Brand Storytelling & Creative Copy

  • Develop landing page, blog, and campaign copy that aligns with brand tone and positioning.
  • Support marketing campaigns (social, email, paid ads) with creative copy.
  • Craft headlines, banners, taglines, and CTAs that drive conversions.
  • Deliver bilingual (English + Arabic) creative copy for regional markets.

3. Content Planning & Optimisation

  • Research competitor content and marketplace trends to identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate with SEO/Performance Marketing to refine keyword strategies.
  • Regularly update and refresh product content based on performance data and reviews.
  • Conduct keyword research in both English and Arabic when applicable.

4. Cross-team Collaboration

  • Work closely with design, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Coordinate with photographers/videographers to ensure imagery matches content.
  • Work with regional teams to ensure Arabic content aligns with cultural and linguistic standards.

5. Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Adhere to brand guidelines, grammar, and style standards.
  • Ensure all content meets legal and platform compliance requirements.
  • Maintain high language accuracy in both English and Arabic.

  • Content accuracy & on-time delivery
  • Organic search rankings and traffic
  • Conversion rate improvement on updated pages
  • Marketplace content score (A+ Content, Brand Store metrics)
  • Bounce rate / engagement metrics

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  • 1–4 years of experience in content writing for e-commerce / digital marketing.
  • Excellent command of English (grammar, spelling, style).
  • Strong proficiency in written Arabic (mandatory/preferred—your choice).

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and keyword research tools.
  • Familiarity with CMS, Shopify, Magento, or marketplace content upload systems.
  • Ability to write both short-form and long-form content with attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Experience with A+ Content, Brand Stores, and e-commerce copywriting.
  • Understanding of performance metrics and CRO.
  • Exposure to product photography/video workflows.
  • Experience writing Arabic content for GCC markets is an added advantage.
