Job Overview:

About the Role

We are looking for a Content Strategist who can define, lead, and execute the overall content vision for SuperBottoms. This role blends creativity with business strategy — requiring a deep understanding of storytelling, digital communication, and performance-driven content.

You will be responsible for developing the brand’s tone, content direction, and storytelling across all channels. Managing and mentoring a team of copywriters, you will collaborate closely with the creative, marketing, and performance teams to deliver content that inspires, converts, and builds long-term brand equity.

Roles and Responsibilities

Overall Content Planning (Imagery + Tonality)

  • Define and implement the visual direction and verbal tone of the brand across all content formats.
  • Conceptualize mood boards, design references, and sample content buckets with the design team to ensure consistent brand expression.
  • Collaborate with internal creative and design teams to plan and execute campaigns and content pieces.

Brand Story

  • Craft and refine a compelling brand narrative that reflects SuperBottoms’ values, purpose, and unique voice.
  • Ensure consistent representation of this narrative across packaging, website, social media, and marketing communication.

Product Storytelling

  • Develop storytelling frameworks for hero and new products focused on consumer benefits and emotional connect.
  • Create copy and visual reference briefs that communicate product USPs across platforms and formats.

Cataloguing Content Strategy

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive cataloguing strategy for all platforms including guidelines for titles, bullet points, A+ content, and visuals.
  • Partner with the E-commerce team to optimize listings that are both conversion-driven and aligned with brand tone.

Performance-led Content (PERF)

  • Conceptualize and guide performance-focused creative assets – static and video – that drive engagement and conversions.
  • Build frameworks for performance creatives based on target personas, campaign objectives, and seasonal trends.
  • Analyze content performance regularly and evolve messaging strategies based on insights and data.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead a team of copywriters and content creators, ensuring consistent quality and on-brand messaging.
  • Collaborate with creative, content, marketing, and performance teams to ensure alignment between brand storytelling and business goals.
  • Track content performance, calculate ROI, and document learnings for continuous improvement.

Deliverables

  • Defined brand tonality and content voice guidelines
  • Comprehensive brand story and communication framework
  • Product story templates for key SKUs and new launches
  • Monthly content calendar for social media and performance marketing
  • Campaign conceptualization for ad creatives (static + video)
  • Recommendations and insights based on content performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 4–7 years of experience in content strategy, brand communication, or digital marketing, preferably in a D2C or consumer brand.
  • Proven expertise in performance-oriented and storytelling-driven content.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to guide a team of writers and creatives.
  • Strong understanding of content analytics and ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.

Work Model

Hybrid – Two days a week at our Mumbai co-working office, with flexibility for remote work.
