Job
Description
Griffin is looking for a Content & Communications Lead to shape how the community speaks, what it explores, and how it connects. This role defines and delivers the narratives, conversations, and content experiences that elevate Griffin’s salons, retreats, and private gatherings.
You’ll work closely with founders, distinguished speakers, and internal leadership to ensure every interaction — digital or face-to-face — carries Griffin’s hallmark of clarity, intelligence, and craftsmanship.
You’re not just a writer. You’re a curator of conversations, a strategist of tone and message, and a custodian of Griffin’s voice and identity.
Key Impact Areas
1. Define the Agenda
Develop discussion topics, debate points, and themes for salons, retreats, and roundtables.
Make conversations timely, relevant, and thought-provoking for India’s top founders.
2. Curate Content
Shape sessions, speaker briefs, backgrounders, and guest decks.
Ensure materials are informed, sharp, and tuned to elite audiences.
3. Lead Communications
Own member- and speaker-facing communications: invites, speaker guidance, newsletters, follow-ups.
Maintain coherence, warmth, and precision across every touchpoint.
4. Elevate Griffin’s Voice
Oversee copy across websites, decks, printed collateral, event programmes, signage, and social snippets.
Build and enforce Griffin’s style manual; ensure every word reflects the brand’s values.
5. Quality & Tone Custodian
Be the final check: is the tone right, consistent, and worthy of Griffin?
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with BD, Events, Design, Digital, and Research teams to ensure unified strategy and execution.
Responsibilities
Build and evolve a content roadmap for Griffin’s events.
Conduct ecosystem scans and research to generate compelling agendas.
Draft and finalise all communication materials for members, speakers, and partners.
Write thought leadership pieces, founder stories, event recaps, and high-impact promotional copy.
Lead post-event content: summaries, takeaways, and speaker highlights.
Track engagement and feedback to refine future strategies.
Manage stakeholders, collect inputs, and ensure deadlines are met.
Flag risks of brand misalignment or tone slippage proactively.
What Sets You Apart
Exceptional writing and editing skills: command over nuance, tone, and precision.
Strategic thinker: You see content as an experience, not just copy.
Experience with premium, high-prestige, or luxury brands/communities.
High emotional intelligence: manage sensibilities, confidentiality, and dignity with ease.
Detail-obsessed: from punctuation to design alignment.
Comfortable with ambiguity and fast turnarounds.
Collaborative, feedback-friendly, but with strong ownership.
Preferred Background
Curiosity about startups, technology, markets, and policy.
Ability to connect macro trends with founder-level challenges.
4-5+ years in content strategy and communications, ideally in events or high-prestige communities.
Proven track record of curating content for senior audiences (founders, VCs, leaders).
Experience leading communications across digital and offline mediums.
Strong organisational skills; ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
High proficiency with tools like Google Workspace, Notion, Slack; ability to work with design teams.
Persona Fit
Policy comms/think-tank track (Invest India, NITI, CMO/PMO comms, MEA/embassy) — fluent in hierarchy, protocol and stakeholder management; comfortable writing to principals.
Editorial lead/brand copy director — C-suite ghostwriting, tone systems, high-stakes events; writes short, edits faster, and can turn research into action.
Education Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, English, Journalism, Public Policy, International Relations, or Business/Management.
