Role Overview
The role involves conceptualizing and developing food menu solutions that align with Swiggy’s growth objectives — including category expansion, new city and brand launches, and customer engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of food, research skills, and collaboration with culinary and business teams to deliver winning menu offerings.
Roles & Responsibilities
Understand the Business Need
- Engage with business stakeholders to identify menu-based solutions supporting category growth, new city/brand launches, customer acquisition, and engagement.
Customized Market Research
- Conduct market research using platform data, competition analysis, Google Trends, blogs, social media, and listicles to identify relevant food and menu trends
Competition Benchmarking
- Benchmark competition menus and collate insights such as regional flavors, ingredients, presentation styles, and food quality metrics.
R&D Support for Menu Creation & Food Trial
- Align menu recommendations with the R&D team for culinary development, ensuring adherence to brand principles.
Collaboration with R&D Team
- Partner with the R&D team on multiple menu iterations, providing data-backed insights and feedback for improvements.
Tasting Sessions Coordination
- Coordinate tasting sessions with in-house teams (Menu Excellence, Brand Chefs, and test customers) and gather structured feedback.
Stakeholder Management
- Consolidate trial feedback, share insights with key stakeholders, and facilitate final decisions on menu inclusion.
Dish Bank Maintenance
- Maintain and update the Dish Bank with all approved menu additions for future reference and launches.
Menu Launch Preparation
- Ensure launch readiness through naming, descriptions, pricing inputs, and photoshoots; collaborate with business teams for catalogue placement.
Performance Tracking
- Monitor dish performance post-launch and share learnings with R&D and culinary teams for continuous improvement.
Education
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Post-Graduation (any discipline); Hospitality/Service background preferred.
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in food & beverage, consumer insights, or culinary research.
Functional Competencies
