Compliance Manager

Role Overview: As a Compliance Manager in Accounts, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all financial operations, accounting practices, and reporting align with statutory regulations, internal policies, and industry standards. By safeguarding the organization from financial risks, audits, and compliance breaches, you play a crucial role in supporting transparent and ethical financial practices. Key Responsibilities: - Regulatory Compliance - Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, TDS, PF, ESI, ROC filings, and other statutory requirements. - Monitor changes in laws, accounting standards, and tax regulations, and implement necessary updates. - Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies. - Internal Controls & Audit - Establish and maintain strong internal controls for accounting and financial reporting. - Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of audit queries. - Implement compliance checklists and conduct regular compliance reviews. - Risk Management - Identify financial and operational risks related to compliance. - Develop mitigation strategies and corrective action plans. - Ensure company policies align with corporate governance and ethical practices. - Documentation & Reporting - Maintain proper records of statutory filings, licenses, and approvals. - Prepare compliance reports for management review. - Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. - Team Collaboration - Train staff on compliance-related requirements. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelors/Masters in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (CA/CMA preferred). - Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in accounts & statutory compliance. - Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, GST, and corporate law. - Excellent communication and analytical skills. - Detail-oriented with strong ethical standards.
