About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clothing & Apparel Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fashion buying, product selection, and supplier management, with the ability to balance creativity with commercial acumen. You will be responsible for curating apparel collections that resonate with customer demand, reflect current fashion trends, and drive profitability.

Core Responsibilities

Trend Forecasting:

• Research and analyze fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activity.
• Identify opportunities to introduce innovative and appealing products to the assortment.

Product Selection & Assortment Planning:

• Select garments and accessories that align with the brand image, target audience, and sales goals.
• Plan seasonal and core product assortments within defined budgets.

Supplier Negotiation & Relationship Management:

• Source and develop relationships with manufacturers, brands, and vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain strong, long-term supplier partnerships.

Purchasing & Inventory Management:

• Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor stock levels, manage replenishment, and reduce excess inventory.

Sales & Performance Analysis:

• Analyze sales reports, customer feedback, and product performance.
• Adjust buying strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Budget Management:

• Work within allocated budgets to achieve financial targets.
• Monitor margins and ensure cost efficiency in buying decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with design, merchandising, and marketing teams to develop cohesive collections.
• Contribute to marketing campaigns and product launches.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of proven experience as a Fashion / Apparel Buyer in the clothing industry.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Management, Textile Design, Business, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, apparel categories, and fashion trends.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to balance creative vision with commercial viability.
• Strong business acumen with expertise in budgeting and forecasting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MIS reports, and data analysis tools.

Who Can Apply

Compensation

• Salary will be based on last drawn CTC and industry standards.
