Job Title: Plant Civil Engineer – Chemical Industry Location: Olpad, Gujarat (Near Surat) Experience: 4 to 8 Years Qualification: B. Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering Compensation: Based on Interview and Experience Industry: Chemical / Manufacturing Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Civil Engineer with a strong background in the chemical industry to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Olpad, Gujarat . The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all civil engineering activities associated with chemical plant infrastructure, including the design, construction, and maintenance of plant structures, foundations, drainage systems, and support facilities. Key Responsibilities: Plan, execute, and supervise civil works related to chemical plant construction, modifications, and maintenance. Ensure structural integrity and safety of plant buildings, foundations, roads, drainage systems, and other infrastructure. Work closely with process engineers, safety teams, and project managers to align civil designs with operational needs. Prepare BOQs, estimates, and project schedules; ensure timely and cost-effective execution. Manage and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants for civil engineering tasks. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality, adherence to design specifications, and compliance with safety norms. Provide technical support during audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions. Maintain documentation and reporting related to civil works and structural evaluations. Required Skills and Competencies: Understanding of civil engineering principles in a chemical or industrial plant setting. Experience with structural analysis, construction planning, and maintenance in corrosive or hazardous environments. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Familiarity with relevant IS codes, safety standards, and local building regulations. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Experience: Prior experience working in chemical plants or similar hazardous industrial facilities.
