CIVIL/STRUCTURAL DESIGN MANAGER – SOLAR PROJECTS

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed civil engineering designs, including site layouts, foundations, and structural components for solar power installations.
• Design and Drawings of Module Mounting Structures for Ground mount and Rooftop Solar Plants
• Design and Drawing of Steel Structures and RCC Structures for various equipment
• Design and Drawings of Foundations for various equipment
• Design and Drawings of Control Room Buildings to house control systems and other essential equipment.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure integrated and efficient design solutions.
• Develop and review project specifications, drawings, and construction documents.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant local and international codes, standards, and regulations.
• Independently handle projects from conception to completion, ensuring all project requirements and deadlines are met.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, including site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for civil engineering components of solar projects.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential project challenges.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably 3+ years in the solar energy sector.
• Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, and other relevant design tools.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, and construction practices.
• Familiarity with IS Codes, local building codes and regulations in India.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
