Job Purpose

The Chief Security Officer is responsible for overall safety, security, and risk management of the mall premises. The role requires strategic leadership, strong command over security operations, coordination with law enforcement agencies, and strict compliance with safety and statutory norms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and control complete security operations of the mall
• Develop, implement, and monitor security SOPs and emergency response plans
• Manage security manpower including agency staff, supervisors, and guards
• Oversee access control, surveillance systems (CCTV), and control room operations
• Coordinate with local police, fire department, and emergency services
• Conduct regular security audits, mock drills, and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with fire safety, local laws, and statutory regulations
• Handle serious incidents, investigations, and escalations
• Prepare incident reports, security MIS, and management briefings
• Support mall operations during events, VIP visits, and high-footfall periods

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and command presence
• Excellent crisis management and decision-making skills
• Sound knowledge of security systems and surveillance technology
• Ability to manage large security teams and vendors
• High integrity, discipline, and confidentiality
• Good documentation and reporting skills

Qualification & Experience

• Graduate preferred; ex-defence / ex-paramilitary / ex-police background desirable
• Minimum 8–12 years of security experience in malls, airports, hotels, or large commercial properties
• Proven experience in managing large-scale security operations
