Role & responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational design.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention to support growth.
  • Build and nurture a strong, inclusive culture that reflects Tailsways values.
  • Oversee performance management, training, and career development.
  • Implement scalable HR systems, processes, and policies.
  • Manage compensation, benefits, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and mentor to the HR team.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Minimum 4 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
  • Experience in building or scaling HR processes in a growing company.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on and adaptable, able to balance strategy with execution.
  • Passion for people, culture, and creating positive workplaces.
  • Experience in service, healthcare, or pet care industry is a plus.
