Objective of Role: The CEO will be the driving force behind nurturing and scaling the next

generation of innovative ventures. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the

entrepreneurial ecosystem, leveraging the resources and reputation of one of India's leading

business schools. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a deep

understanding of the startup landscape, a strong network, and a passion for mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overall strategy for the incubator,

setting ambitious goals for startup growth, funding, and success. Advise Board on

investment risks and returns.

• Ecosystem Building: Cultivate and expand a robust network of investors, mentors,

industry partners, and alumni to provide invaluable resources to our startups. Act as

the primary external face of the incubator. Foster collaborations with other incubators,

government & sectoral bodies, corporates, industry partners and investors—both in

India and globally—to enhance program impact and resource sharing. Represent the

incubator at public forums, industry events, policy discussions, and functions as a

respected evangelist for innovation and entrepreneurship.

• Portfolio Management: Oversee the selection and management of startup cohorts,

ensuring a diverse and high-potential portfolio. Provide hands-on guidance and

support to help ventures navigate challenges.

• Operational Excellence: Manage the day-to-day operations of the incubator,

including budgeting, team management, and resource allocation. Optimize processes

to ensure efficiency and impact.

• Fundraising & Investor Relations: Lead fundraising efforts for the incubator's fund

and connect startups with relevant investors, from angels to VCs.

Experience:

• 15+ years of progressive experience in the startup ecosystem, with at least 5

years in a leadership role (e.g., CEO, Venture Partner, or senior role at an incubator/accelerator)

• Proven track record of success in mentoring and scaling startups. Integrity,

openness, leadership, and ability to inspire teams for excellence

Knowledge & Skills:

• Deep expertise in venture capital, fundraising, and startup metrics.
• Strong business acumen and an understanding of diverse industry sectors.
• Excellent communication, networking, and public speaking skills.
• Ability to inspire and lead a high-performing team

Education:

• An MBA from a top-tier institution is preferred.
