Senior Chemical Engineer – Production / Process (Chemical Plant Operations)

Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Senior Chemical Engineer to lead production and process operations in our chemical manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing plant performance, process optimization, team supervision, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily production activities to meet output, quality, and efficiency targets.
• Supervise reactor, distillation, and utility operations to ensure smooth plant performance.
• Lead a team of engineers, supervisors, and operators to maintain optimal plant productivity.
• Analyze process parameters and implement continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Troubleshoot process deviations and coordinate with maintenance, quality, and safety teams.
• Plan and execute plant shutdowns, startups, and equipment commissioning.
• Maintain proper documentation for production logs, process records, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, ISO/GMP standards, and safety protocols (HSE).
• Support process design modifications, scale-up activities, and new product trials.
• Collaborate with R&D and management for process development and technology transfer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 6–12 years of experience in chemical, petrochemical, or process manufacturing industries.
• Strong understanding of unit operations, process control, and utilities.
• Experience with DCS/PLC-based plant systems preferred.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards, environmental compliance, and quality systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
