Chemical Engineer

Dear Candidate,

We have an urgent opening for Chemical Engineer for our own organization.
Location - Gurgaon/Gujarat

1. Process Design and Development

• Design and optimize processes for the recovery of valuable metals (like gold, silver, copper, palladium, etc.) from printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other components.
• Develop or improve hydrometallurgical (acid leaching, solvent extraction, electro-winning) or pyrometallurgical (smelting, incineration) methods.
• Work on eco-friendly alternatives to traditional chemical leaching agents (e.g., cyanide-free or halogen-free processes).

2. Material Recovery and Separation

• Oversee segregation and treatment of plastics, metals, and glass from e-waste streams.
• Develop methods for selective separation of metals using precipitation, ion exchange, or solvent extraction.
• Study and optimize yield and purity of recovered materials.

3. Process Optimization and Safety

• Monitor and control process parameters to ensure energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement process automation and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards while handling corrosive chemicals and toxic fumes.

4. Research & Development

• Innovate new chemical routes for efficient metal recovery.
• Work on bioleaching or green chemistry methods for sustainable e-waste management.
• Collaborate with environmental engineers and material scientists to improve recovery efficiency and minimize pollution.

5. Quality Control and Analysis

• Conduct chemical and metallurgical analysis of incoming waste and recovered materials.
• Supervise laboratory operations related to testing of leachates, residues, and emissions.
