Charted Accountant

Role Summary:

The Head of Accounts/Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing budgets, and providing strategic financial guidance to the leadership team. This role demands a strong grasp of accounting principles, financial planning, and leadership abilities to optimize the organization’s financial performance and ensure sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management
• Oversee the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Monitor and control the organization’s financial performance to meet strategic goals.
• Develop and implement cost optimization strategies to improve profitability.
• Accounting Operations
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with statutory regulations.
• Manage accounts receivable, payable, and payroll operations.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including tax filings and audits.
• Monitor and mitigate financial risks through proper controls and processes.
• Liaise with external auditors, bankers and regulatory authorities.
• Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, to the executive team.
• Provide insights into financial data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Maintain proper documentation for audits, compliance, and reporting purposes.
• Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts/finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Identify and address skill gaps within the team, organizing training as needed.

Key Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/CPA preferred).
• An MBA in Finance is a plus.

Experience:

• A minimum of 5+ years of work experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
• Proven track record in financial planning, reporting, and managing accounting operations.

Technical Skills:

• Tally & Busy Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Tally & Busy ERP software is mandatory, with the ability to manage end-to-end accounting operations through the platform.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
