Job Description

Sr. Category Manager Role Overview The Senior Category Manager will drive category growth by setting revenue and sales targets, optimizing stock planning, analyzing market trends, and identifying opportunities for regional penetration. He/She will own end-to-end category performance, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data-backed decision-making and seamless execution. Key Responsibilities Revenue & Sales Growth Develop and execute category strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets. Set sales projections and performance metrics for different sales channels (D2C, e-commerce marketplaces, offline retail). Track, analyze, and optimize sales performance to maximize market share. Market & Competitor Insights Continuously track competitor activities, pricing strategies, promotions, and product innovations. Conduct deep-dives into customer behavior, industry trends, and identify emerging opportunities in the skincare market. Translate insights into actionable business strategies to enhance category performance. Stock Planning & Inventory Management Ensure optimal stock availability by forecasting demand and planning inventory accordingly. Work closely with supply chain teams to prevent stockouts and excess inventory. Optimize SKU performance by evaluating product lifecycle and sales trends. Regional Penetration & Growth Identify high-potential regions and create customized go-to-market strategies. Partner with marketing and sales teams to enhance visibility and reach in key regional markets. Leverage local insights to drive targeted product launches and promotional campaigns. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with RnD, marketing, sales, and product teams to align category objectives with overall brand strategy. Collaborate with finance to manage category P&L, pricing, and promotional planning. Partner with digital and performance marketing teams to drive traffic and conversions across platforms. Requirements Experience and interest: 3-4 years in Category Management or similar fields, with a keen interest in skincare and/or beauty. Analytical Mindset: Strong data analysis skills with the ability to derive meaningful insights and implement strategies. Revenue Ownership: Proven track record of driving category growth, setting sales targets, and achieving revenue goals. Market Understanding: Deep knowledge of conducting industry research, customer trends, and competitor landscape. Regional Expansion Experience: Ability to drive regional growth strategies and penetrate new markets effectively. Collaboration & Leadership: Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working cross-functionally.
