Job Description

As a Care Engineer in the Care Delivery Centre, you will deliver advanced technical expertise across Nokia’s Subscriber Data Management (SDM) solutions, including One-NDS, NT-HLR, Cloud HSS, UDM, and SDL. You will troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform in-depth root cause analysis, and ensure high-quality customer support through close collaboration with global teams. The role also involves contributing to emergency support, system recovery, and continuous improvement initiatives, with a strong focus on technical excellence and customer satisfaction.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Apply advanced analytical skills to troubleshoot challenging technical issues, identify root causes, and propose effective, innovative solutions while ensuring data security.
  • Diagnose customer-reported problems and implement corrective and preventive actions in line with defined processes and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing timely updates through established support tools.
  • Work closely with internal tiered support teams and third-party vendors to drive efficient issue resolution and service continuity.
  • Support system integration, verification, installation, upgrade, and recovery activities, including participation in emergency support and rota as required.
  • Provide technical inputs, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to support team capability building and continuous improvement.

Key Skills And Experience

You-Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience focusing on Mobile Core Networks and Subscriber Data Management (SDM) solutions, including One-NDS, NT-HLR, Cloud HSS, UDM, and SDL.
  • Knowledge of telecom principles, protocols, and standards such as SS7, Diameter, TCP/UDP, M3UA, SOAP, HTTP, LDAP, RTP, and 3GPP.
  • Practical experience in Linux operating systems, IP networking, and mobile core call flows.
  • Experience supporting emergency operations, incident management, and system recovery scenarios.

Nice-to-Have

  • Exposure to cloud and virtualization technologies, including VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes, CBIS, CBAM, and NCS.
  • Past experience with Nokia SDM solutions across system integration, verification, installation, upgrade, and lifecycle support activities.
  • Familiarity with adjacent mobile core components and technologies such as Nokia Policy Controller (NPC/PCRF), Cloud Signaling Director (CSD/DRA), Aerospike DB, and 5G call flows, along with strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities.
