Job Description

The Cafe Manager role involves overseeing the daily operations of a cafe, managing the staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, handling finances, managing inventory, and upholding high standards of food quality and hygiene. Your responsibilities will include: Staff Management: - Recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising cafe staff. - Creating staff schedules and ensuring adequate coverage. - Addressing employee performance issues and offering constructive feedback. - Motivating and inspiring the team to provide excellent customer service. Customer Service: - Providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries and complaints. - Cultivating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers. - Monitoring customer feedback to enhance cafe operations. Financial Management: - Monitoring budgets to maintain profitability. - Managing cash flow and reconciling daily financial transactions. - Controlling operational costs and identifying revenue growth opportunities. Inventory Management: - Monitoring and managing levels of food, beverages, and supplies. - Ordering supplies and ensuring timely deliveries. - Minimizing waste and spoilage. Operational Management: - Ensuring the cafe is clean, organized, and safe. - Upholding high standards of food quality and hygiene. - Implementing health and safety regulations. - Managing the cafe efficiently during events and peak periods. Menu Development & Marketing: - Proposing new menu items based on customer preferences and trends. - Collaborating with the marketing department for cafe promotion. - Keeping the menu attractive and current. Essential Skills: - Leadership, organizational, and time management skills. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. - Understanding of basic accounting principles and budgeting. - Problem-solving abilities. - Teamwork and motivation skills. - Knowledge of food safety regulations. - Clear and effective communication. - Strong organizational skills.
