Business Intelligence Developer (Power BI)

As a Power BI Developer with one year of experience, you'll be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. Your role will focus on creating compelling and interactive reports and dashboards, supporting data analysis, and contributing to the overall business intelligence (BI) strategy. You'll work closely with other team members to understand business requirements and deliver effective data solutions.

• Data Transformation and Modeling:

  Connect to various data sources (e.g., databases, Excel, cloud services), and use Power Query to clean, shape, and transform data for analysis. Develop and maintain data models, including creating relationships and hierarchies, to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.

• Report and Dashboard Development:

  Design, build, and deploy visually appealing and interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards that meet the needs of business stakeholders.

• DAX Calculations:

  Write and optimize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) queries and measures to perform complex calculations and create meaningful insights.

• Collaboration:

  Work with business users and other technical teams to understand their reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements. Provide support and guidance to end-users on how to use and interpret Power BI reports.

• Maintenance and Support:

  Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting existing Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and system performance.

• Documentation:

  Create and maintain documentation for reports, data sources, and data transformation processes.

• Experience:

  At least 1 year of hands-on experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar data analysis role.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI Desktop

  for data visualization, modeling, and report creation.
• Strong knowledge of

  DAX

  for creating calculated columns and measures.
• Experience with

  Power Query

  (M language) for data transformation and cleaning.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of

  SQL

  for data extraction and manipulation.
