Job Description

Position: Business Expansion & Growth Specialist

Location: Bangalore / New Delhi (with travel to markets across India)

Reporting To: Founder / Business Head

Role Purpose

To drive Maloo Groups business growth by identifying gaps in existing operations, unlocking under-utilised potential, and creating strategies for new products, services, and market expansions. This is a field-intensive role requiring deep market immersion, not just office analysis. 6-10 years of similar experience is needed.

Key Responsibilities

1.Business Gap Analysis (Existing Verticals)

  • Review current business lines (adhesives, coatings, chemicals, etc.) and identify reasons for stagnation.
  • Engage with existing customers, contractors, dealers, site owners, and employees to gather on-ground feedback.
  • Audit sales team utilization, product knowledge, and customer engagement quality.
  • Recommend actionable strategies to plug operational and execution gaps.

2.New Market & Product Expansion

  • Conduct feasibility studies for new products/services/territories.
  • Map competition, target customer base, investment needs, manpower requirements, and marketing plan.
  • Develop structured go-to-market strategies with clear ROI projections.

3.Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build relationships with contractors, distributors, project owners, and influencers at grassroots level.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management with clear, data-backed reasoning.

4.Execution Partner

  • Work hand-in-hand with internal sales & marketing teams to implement approved strategies.
  • Track outcomes of initiatives and report progress through measurable KPIs.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong experience in offline B2B markets (construction, building materials, industrial products, or FMCG trade).
  • Ability to walk the market comfort with site visits, talking to contractors, dealers, and workers at ground level.
  • Strong analytical ability to connect market insights with business strategy.
  • Skill in identifying under-utilized employees and aligning them to growth objectives.
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset focus on results, not just reports.
