Job Description

Job Overview:

frameworks (e.g., FAME-II, NHEV, MoP guidelines),


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute

    business development and sales strategies across India

    for EV charging infrastructure in alignment with national electrification goals.
  • Liaise with central and state government agencies

    (e.g., Ministry of Power, NITI Aayog, DISCOMs),

    public sector undertakings (PSUs)

    , utilities, smart city missions, and OEMs to secure projects.
  • Identify, approach, and secure partnerships with key stakeholders, including

    real estate developers, municipal bodies, highway authorities (e.g., NHAI), fleet operators

    , and other strategic partners.
  • Oversee

    end-to-end project lifecycle

    – site identification, feasibility studies, land acquisition, regulatory approvals (including DISCOM NOC, State EV Policy alignments), CAPEX budgeting, vendor coordination, and commissioning.
  • Drive revenue growth and deliver sales KPIs through both public (tenders, MoUs) and private sector engagements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product, legal, operations, and finance) to ensure timely and compliant project execution.
  • Track

    policy developments (e.g., FAME-II subsidies, state-wise EV policies, GST impact)

    and competitors to refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Represent the company at major EV and energy forums such as

    Auto Expo, EV India Expo, CII Green Energy summits

    , and other industry events.
  • Provide regular progress updates, business risks, and opportunity assessments to the CEO and Board.


Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate degree (MBA/PGDM) from a reputed Indian institute (e.g., IIM, ISB, IIT) is preferred.

  • 12–18 years of experience in

    India-based

    business development or sales leadership, preferably in energy, infrastructure, mobility, or sustainability tech sectors.
  • Proven track record of launching or expanding new businesses in

    India’s regulated markets

    .
  • Strong grasp of

    EV charging infrastructure, DISCOM liaison, government procurement (GeM portal), and PPP project execution.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience with government liaisons and large enterprises.
  • Fluency in English;

    knowledge of Hindi and/or regional languages

    (e.g., Kannada, Marathi, Tamil) will be an added advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across India and occasionally within Asia.
