Business Development Team Lead

Role & responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed targets.
• Drive new business development and expansion in target markets and industries.
• Build and maintain strategic client relationships with CXOs, procurement heads, and key decision-makers.
• Oversee end-to-end sales cycles, ensuring team follows best practices from lead generation to closure and contract negotiation.
• Collaborate with technical and pre-sales teams to guide proposal development and ensure high-quality, customized solutions for clients.
• Monitor team performance, pipelines, and forecasts, providing coaching and guidance to maximize revenue.
• Ensure the team stays updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs.
• Maintain accurate CRM and reporting systems for the team.
• Represent the company and the sales team at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions

Preferred candidate profile

• Willingness to work night shifts (5:00 PM 2:00 AM IST) to serve global clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 6+ years of experience in Enterprise Technology Sales / Business Development with a focus on leading teams.
• Proven team leadership and mentoring experience in enterprise technology sales.
• Strong domain expertise in ERP solutions (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite).
• Exposure to Cloud services, AI, Cybersecurity, Managed IT Services, and Contractual Staffing.
• Established network and contacts with enterprise clients and CXOs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Track record of driving revenue growth and achieving/exceeding team targets.
