Business Development Team Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Team Lead Business Development (Presales) to drive lead engagement and conversion for new branch launches. This role is primarily focused on presales activitiesmanaging inbound leads, qualifying prospects, building early-stage pipelines, and ensuring strong enrolments before and immediately after branch go-live. The role requires hands-on presales expertise combined with strong team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a presales team supporting new branch openings.
• Drive inbound and outbound lead engagement, qualification, and early conversions.
• Build and manage strong presales pipelines ahead of branch launches.
• Ensure high lead-to-counselling and lead-to-enrollment conversion rates.
• Coach team members on need analysis, pitch quality, and objection handling.
• Monitor daily presales metrics including call productivity, follow-ups, and closures.
• Coordinate with Marketing to optimize lead flow for new branches.
• Work closely with Branch Operations and Admissions teams for smooth handover.
• Handle escalations and support closures for high-value or priority leads.
• Ensure CRM hygiene, accurate reporting, and process adherence.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (MBA preferred).
• 4–8 years of experience in presales, inside sales, or business development.
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing a sales/presales team.
• Strong expertise in lead qualification, funnel management, and early-stage sales.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and people management skills.
• Data-driven approach with strong CRM and reporting knowledge.
• Experience in EdTech, education, or multi-branch expansion environments is a plus.
