Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Specialist located in Cochin. The responsibilities include driving business growth by identifying and acquiring new clients, building and maintaining relationships with existing customers, and understanding their needs to provide tailored logistics solutions. The professional in this role will analyse market trends, develop sales strategies, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue goals. Additional duties involve preparing sales reports and providing insight to improve operational and client service strategies.

Qualifications

• Strong business development and sales expertise, with proficiency in market analysis and creating growth strategies
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Knowledge of logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance processes, and supply chain management
• Proven ability to meet sales targets within a competitive environment
• Proficiency in using CRM and other sales-related software
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Prior experience in the logistics or shipping industry is an advantage
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
