Job Description

As a Sales & Business Development Manager in the Cosmetic & Nutraceuticals industry, your role will be crucial in driving sales and expanding business opportunities. Your main responsibilities will include: - B2B Sales & Business Development: - Drive sales of cosmetic ingredients, essential oils, specialty chemicals, and related raw materials to manufacturers, formulators, and distributors. - Generate and convert leads within the cosmetic industry. - Manage and grow key client accounts. - Develop long-term business relationships with stakeholders in the cosmetic and personal care sector. - Negotiate pricing, contracts, and close sales effectively. - Market & Industry Expertise: - Conduct market research on new trends, competitors, and opportunities. - Understand customer requirements in formulations, new launches, and compliance. - Attend cosmetic industry expos, trade shows, and networking events. - Technical Product Knowledge: - Strong understanding of cosmetic raw materials such as essential oils, emulsifiers, actives, and specialty chemicals. - Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards like FDA, BIS, FSSAI, ISO, and GMP for cosmetics. - Ability to explain ingredient functionality and benefits to R&D and purchase teams of clients. - Strategic & Marketing Support: - Collaborate with R&D and marketing teams for product positioning. - Provide inputs for pricing, go-to-market strategies, and product promotions. - Support new product launches and customer trials. - Communication & Relationship Management: - Utilize excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. - Build strong client relationships with cosmetic manufacturers across India. - Analytical & Reporting Skills: - Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and MIS reports. - Track industry trends and contribute to business growth strategy. Your educational background should ideally be in Bachelors or Masters in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or Cosmetic Technology. Knowledge of formulations, cosmetic chemistry, and product development will be an advantage. Preferred exposure includes familiarity with cosmetic ingredients like emollients, surfactants, actives, essential oils, and antioxidants. Prior B2B sales experience with cosmetic or personal care manufacturers will also be beneficial.
