Business Development Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets and expand client base across India.
  
• Identify and generate business leads from state and central utilities, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders.
  
• Attend meetings with prospective clients and key decision-makers to pitch company offerings.
  
• Track, manage, and follow up on submitted tenders to improve success rates.
  
• Review and analyze tender documents for

  EHV/LV/HV electrical works

  ,

  power transmission lines

  ,

  grid substations

  , and

  BOP electrical packages

  for solar, wind, and hydro projects.
• Coordinate with the commercial and finance departments to manage post-tender clarification processes.
  
• Maintain and nurture relationships with key clients, leading consultants, and government officials to ensure inclusion in vendor/preferred supplier lists.
  
• Liaison with state and central offices for market intelligence and opportunities in the energy sector.
  
• Conduct pre-bid and post-bid analysis and assist in media marketing efforts.
  
• Prepare accurate estimations and cost analysis for tenders.
  
• Organize and participate in internal client/professional meetings to drive collaboration.
  
• Ensure consistent achievement of business development targets with documented past performance.
  

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Proven experience in

  business development and tendering

  in the

  power transmission and substation

  sector.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  
• In-depth knowledge of

  state and central transmission utility tendering processes

  .
• Willingness to travel extensively across India.
  
• Strong analytical, estimation, and cost analysis abilities.
  
• Prior experience in liaising with government bodies and consultants.
  
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding business development targets.
