Business Development - Metal

Business Development Manager Recykal seeks an experienced scrap sales person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in scrap sales, with extensive knowledge of capital expenditures (CapEx), operational expenditures (OpEx), and raw material sourcing. This role is critical in driving sales growth, managing customer relationships, and optimizing the sourcing and sales process for scrap materials.

Roles & Responsibilities

● Primarily responsible for driving the business growth by developing and maintaining a strong network of customers in the scrap industry.

● Creating development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections

● Identifying market opportunities through meetings , networking and other channels.

● Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and ethical standards in the process.

● Resolve any issues or disputes with customers related to quality, delivery, or contractual obligations.

● Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply-demand dynamics to optimize sourcing strategies and mitigate risks.

● Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in scrap sourcing and procurement.

● Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of agreement with customers to ensure cost-effectiveness and favorable terms with decent margins.

● Accountable for completion of transactions from first stage till completion and responsible for the payments from the customers 

Skills Required:

● Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

● Proficient in CRM software.

● Preferred to have knowledge of scrap customers pan india

Qualifications:

● B.Tech or MBA/PG having 5 + years of experience in raw material sales ideally from metal industry.

● Strong understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including properties, applications, and industry standards.

● Good to have knowledge in understanding of different scrap grades, market pricing, and quality standards.

● Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
