Job description Job Title: Business Development Manager – Pharmaceutical (Higher Education-University Admission) πŸ“ Location: Ahmedabad (On-site) πŸ•˜ Job Type: Full-Time πŸ“ˆ Experience Level: Mid-Senior Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and well-connected Business Development Manager with a strong pharmaceutical industry background to drive outreach and student acquisition for our Executive MBA in Pharmaceutical program in Ahmedabad. This mid-senior level role is ideal for someone who understands the evolving needs of pharmaceutical professionals and is passionate about bridging the gap between technical expertise and leadership development. Key Responsibilities Admissions & Counselling Engage and counsel mid- to senior-level pharmaceutical professionals on the value of the Executive MBA in Pharmaceutical program. Drive inquiries, lead follow-ups, and convert prospects into enrolled participants. Provide one-on-one guidance to prospective candidates on the application and admissions process. Track and manage the entire admissions funnel using CRM tools. Business Development & Industry Outreach Build and nurture relationships with pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, industry associations, and HR leaders. Plan and execute corporate outreach initiatives including webinars, roadshows, and info sessions. Represent the program at relevant industry events and forums to increase visibility and credibility. Collaborate with university partners to ensure smooth coordination of application, admission, and onboarding processes. Marketing & Campaign Support Coordinate with the central marketing team to design and execute targeted campaigns. Develop collaterals such as case studies, presentations, and alumni success stories to support BD efforts. Report on campaign effectiveness, lead pipeline status, and conversion rates. Requirements Excellent interpersonal and consultative communication skills Ability to engage and influence senior professionals and decision-makers Strong organizational and time management abilities Proven experience in lead generation, BD outreach, and target achievement Comfort with CRM and marketing automation platforms Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or related field MBA or management qualification preferred 5–10 years of experience in business development, pharmaceutical sales, or education counselling Prior experience working in or with top pharmaceutical companies Exposure to higher education/Executive education/EdTech industry is a plus Why Join edept?
