Job Description

One of Our Client Looking for a The Business Development Manager will be responsible for promoting the Neri brand, expanding business opportunities, and developing relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, lighting designers, builders, contractors, and government officials. The role demands technical knowledge of lighting products, strong commercial acumen, and excellent interpersonal skills to influence decisions at senior levels.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Stakeholder Engagement:

Work closely with architects, lighting designers, and government officials to promote and get approvals for Neri brand, specifications, and products.

Maintain long-term relationships with top-level decision-makers in the architecture, construction, and municipal sectors.

2. Client Interaction & Solutioning:

Interface with builders, architects, engineers, and contractors to understand their lighting requirements.

Recommend suitable techno-commercial solutions tailored to client needs, including both standard and customized offerings.

3. Business Development & Lead Generation:

Generate leads and business opportunities from municipal corporations, government agencies, and private projects.

Identify potential clients among companies dealing in outdoor lighting products (e.g., K-lite, Crompton, C&S, and Qlite), dealers of lighting products, panel builders, switchboard manufacturers, power cable suppliers, and other building material providers.

4. Tender & Proposal Management:

Monitor tender notifications and prepare submissions in alignment with client requirements.

Develop project proposals using MS Excel, Word, and PDF formats, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

5. Market Research & Competitor Analysis:

Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.

Suggest improvements and innovative approaches to enhance Neri’s market positioning.


Key Skills & Competencies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to confidently interact with senior government officials and top-level architects.

Presentable and professional demeanor.

Strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities.

Technical understanding of lighting systems, outdoor electrical products, and construction materials.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and preparing professional proposals.


Eligibility & Requirements

Minimum 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or marketing in lighting, electrical, or building materials sector.

Graduate / Diploma in Engineering.

Willingness to travel frequently for client and project visits.
