Job Description

  • To generate new business through research and development of the assigned

companies, applications and South India territory

  • To develop with assigned companies a deeper understanding of their business

needs and to identify development opportunities.

  • To attend scheduled technical training which can help to implement similar success

stories / opportunities

  • To keep abreast of market trends, developments and competitive activities to ensure

that the business is progressive.

  • To develop structured account management plans to support the growth and

development of your customers.

  • To produce all necessary reports, principally customer visit reports, feeding back all

business opportunities, clear recommendations and actions, and follow through.

  • To periodically prepare and support preparation of market assessments and strategic

plans (Principal wise/Supplier wise/Application wise preparedness is important)

  • Drive growth within defined markets and technologies by focusing primarily on

developing opportunities with existing, new and prospective customers.

  • Manage a healthy CRM pipeline, guiding opportunities through each stage—

discovery and introduction, sampling, follow-up, and handing over to the Sales.

  • Collaborate closely with Application Development and R&D teams to create

innovative chemical products and solutions tailored to market demands.

  • Oversee opportunities from initiation through to successful closure, handing over the

business to Account Managers after securing initial sales.

  • Leverage marketing experience to stay current with market trends, analyze and

digest industry developments, and apply this knowledge to identify opportunities and

inform strategy.

  • Additionally, considering your expertise in Adhesives & Sealants management can plan

to extend your role of Business Development to other areas than South India in coming

quarters based on the successful execution of this new role


Skills and Qualification :


  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales within the paints and coatings Raw material distribution industry.
  • Strong understanding of paint formulations and application processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Team Handling Experience will be added advantage
