Job Title: Business Development Manager – Drone Industry & GeM Portal

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and driven Business Development Executive who can help us expand into drone-based inspections, GIS, solar, wind, and other industrial sectors. The ideal candidate must also have strong experience in Government tenders, GeM portal, and developing business opportunities with PSU and private clients.

This is a client-facing and target-oriented role for someone who understands how to build relationships, generate leads, and convert opportunities in the drone services ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development (Drone Industry)

  • Identify new business opportunities in Solar, Wind, Transmission Lines, Oil & Gas, and Infrastructure sectors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, OEMs, O&M companies, and corporate clients.
  • Understand client pain points and propose customized drone-based inspection solutions.
  • Work with technical teams to prepare proposals, presentations, and capability documents.
  • Track competitor offerings and market trends in the drone industry.

Government & GeM Portal

  • Manage the complete GeM portal process: tender search, bid preparation, documentation, and submission.
  • Identify relevant government tenders (PSU/State/Central) and proactively create a bidding pipeline.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for technical compliance, pricing, and documentation.
  • Maintain a tracker of submitted bids, results, and pipeline status.
  • Build connections with government departments, DISCOMs, and PSU project managers.

Sales & Pipeline Management

  • Generate leads through cold calls, emails, networking, industry events, and online platforms.
  • Prepare sales reports, monthly targets, and revenue forecasts.
  • Follow up with clients until conversion and ensure smooth handover to operations teams.

Coordination & Documentation

  • Prepare MoUs, NDAs, proposals, BOQs, budgetary quotes, and tender documentation.
  • Manage CRM entries and maintain client communication records.
  • Support marketing team with case studies, brochures, and presentations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–5 years in Business Development (preferably in drones, GIS, solar, wind, EPC, or similar tech/engineering sectors).
  • Strong hands-on experience with GeM portal (mandatory).
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
  • Ability to work independently, meet targets, and travel when required.
  • Good proficiency in MS Excel, PPT, and documentation.
