Bramhakarjya is a new, comprehensive digital platform dedicated to serving the Hindu community. Our mission is to make religious services, authentic puja items, and access to experienced Pandits convenient and reliable through a user-friendly mobile app. We are building our team from the ground up to launch and grow our services across Odisha.

Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our revenue generation and market expansion efforts. This is a foundational role where you will build the business from the ground up. You will be responsible for developing the complete sales strategy, identifying target customers, and leading a team of field Sales Officers to achieve our growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan to generate revenue and achieve market penetration in Odisha.
  • Customer Segmentation: Identify and analyze target customer segments for our diverse services (e.g., families for domestic rituals, event planners for social events etc.).
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of field Sales Officers. Set clear sales targets, monitor performance, and provide coaching to ensure success.
  • Revenue Generation: Create and manage the sales funnel, from lead generation to conversion, focusing on both B2C (individual devotees) and B2B (e.g., corporate pujas, event partnerships, Puja bhandar integration and Distributer base creation for selling of puja Items, etc.) opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities for service expansion.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, revenue forecasts, and team activities to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: 3-5+ years of proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic planning, preferably in a service-oriented industry, e-commerce, or a fast-paced startup.
  • Education: MBA in Marketing/Business or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a sales team.
  • Local Knowledge: Strong understanding of the cultural and demographic landscape of Odisha.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent strategic thinking and planning abilities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Data-driven and proficient in using CRM tools and sales-tracking software.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable building systems from scratch.
  • Language: Fluency in Odia, English, and Hindi is required.
  • Mobility: Must be willing to travel extensively across assigned territories in Odisha.
