The Role

We are seeking a Business Development Intern (Outreach Focus) to support our prospecting and early-stage client engagement activities.

The intern will research prospective companies, initiate structured outreach, coordinate communication, and assist in building a qualified pipeline.

This role offers hands-on exposure to B2B outreach, lead generation, and business development fundamentals within a growing services organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Research potential companies, markets, and decision-makers aligned with target segments.
  • Initiate first-touch communication with prospects through phone calls, email outreach, and LinkedIn messaging.
  • Draft, refine, and personalize outreach messages for different prospect categories.
  • Conduct follow-ups, track engagement, and maintain organized communication logs.
  • Assist in scheduling introductory discussions and coordinating early-stage interactions.
  • Maintain structured data within CRM tools and internal tracking sheets.
  • Prepare brief summaries, lists, or documents to support business development activities.
  • Work directly with leadership to refine targeting, messaging, and positioning.


Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident initiating professional conversations and engaging with external contacts.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple outreach threads.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, email outreach, spreadsheets, and basic productivity tools (training provided).
  • Interest in business development, communication, or client engagement.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
