Role Overview

Business Development Intern

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Prospecting

  • Research potential client segments, industries, and decision-makers to build targeted prospect lists.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to support strategic planning.
  • Identify potential leads and gather relevant business information.

Outbound & Inbound Support

  • Assist in conducting outreach through email, phone calls, and social media platforms.
  • Initiate introductory interactions with prospects to spark interest in our services.
  • Support the team in qualifying inbound leads and directing them to the appropriate sales channels.

Client Interaction Assistance

  • Participate in client calls, demos, and presentations for learning and support.
  • Help prepare meeting notes, follow-up emails, and basic sales collateral.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach in all interactions.

Sales Operations & Documentation

  • Update and maintain lead information, activity logs, and progress reports in the CRM.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, pitch decks, and sales reports.
  • Track key metrics such as outreach volume, responses, and meeting schedules.

Collaboration & Learning

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Technical teams to understand offerings and customer needs.
  • Share observations about customer behaviour, objections, and market patterns.
  • Participate in training sessions to build skills in communication, sales tools, and industry knowledge.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to engage with new people.
  • Enthusiastic, curious, and eager to take initiative and learn quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Interest in sales, business development, or the IT services industry.
  • Basic familiarity with LinkedIn, CRM tools, or email platforms is a plus (training provided).
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
