The role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join our growing team in Pune. This role will focus specifically on generating new business opportunities within the thriving manufacturing sector in the Pune industrial belt (including areas like Chakan, Talegaon, and Pimpri-Chinchwad). The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for sales and a solid understanding of the B2B sales cycle in a tech/SaaS environment.

  • Key responsibilities

    Prospecting and lead generation: Actively research, identify, and prospect for new client opportunities within the manufacturing industry in the Pune region.
  • Outbound outreach: Initiate contact with potential clients through various channels, including cold calls, email campaigns, and social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
  • Targeted engagement: Understand the challenges and requirements of manufacturing companies and articulate how Vizmo's solutions can address their security, visitor management, and operational needs.
  • Meeting setup: Qualify leads and schedule meetings and product demonstrations for the Account Executives to drive the sales cycle forward.
  • Conducting meetings: Undertake initial meetings to present Vizmo's value proposition and build rapport with potential customers.
  • CRM management: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all prospect interactions and sales activities in our CRM system.
  • Achieve targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation and qualified meetings.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to provide feedback and refine lead generation strategies.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Proven experience (1–3 years) in Sales Development, Inside Sales, or a similar B2B sales role.
  • Experience in a B2B technology or SaaS company is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation abilities.
  • A proven track record of exceeding lead and meeting targets in a competitive environment.
  • Familiarity with sales technology, including CRM software and sales engagement platforms.
  • Exceptional research skills to effectively identify and target key decision-makers within organizations.
  • A proactive, resilient, and target-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, startup environment.
