Business Development Executive – FMCG Sector

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and result-driven Business Development Executive to join our team in the FMCG sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing client relationships, handling domestic and international markets, and ensuring smooth coordination across departments.

This role involves domestic & international exposure (B2B, private label, exports, and online channels) and requires a candidate with strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate leads, follow up on sales, and convert into business.
  • Manage order & stock planning, dispatch coordination, and client requirements.
  • Organize exhibitions, events, and trade shows for business growth.
  • Handle client/vendor factory visits and customer queries (online & offline).
  • Travel for business meetings, order follow-ups, and collections.
  • Maintain accurate MIS reports on sales, stock, and outstanding payments.
  • Develop long-term client relationships and ensure repeat business.
  • Collaborate with production, design, and dispatch teams for timely deliveries.
  • Monitor outstanding collections and ensure on-time recovery.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achievement of monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Client acquisition and repeat order ratios.
  • Timely responses to online enquiries.
  • ROI from exhibitions/events.
  • Accuracy & timeliness of MIS reporting.
  • Customer complaint resolution within set timelines.
  • Effective utilization of business travel (meetings vs. conversions).

Knowledge: FMCG industry, B2B/export operations, sales strategies, MIS tools.
Attitude: Proactive, customer-first, accountable, goal-driven.
Skills: Negotiation, presentation, communication, project management, MS Office/CRM tools.
Habits: Timely reporting, consistent follow-ups, record maintenance, scheduled visits.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in Sales / Marketing / Purchasing / Client Servicing (FMCG preferred).

Department & Reporting

  • Department: Sales & Marketing | Business Development | Client Relations
  • Reports to: Business Development Manager
  • Coordinates with: Production, Dispatch & Design Teams

Geography Covered

  • Domestic: Gujarat & other Indian markets
  • International: Export markets & B2B overseas

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,790.32 - ₹43,933.15 per month
